The Injectors

The Injectors – About Us

“manage their diabetes around their life, rather than manage their life around their diabetes”.

The Injectors is a 200+ strong network of people, family, friends, and
health professionals, all with the one common interest – the welfare of
teenagers with diabetes, We’re also backed by a close relationship with Melbourne’s
Royal
Children’s Hospital
, as well as a network of casual volunteers.

We produce a newsletter
– published quarterly, containing a range of news, reviews, advice,
gossip, and humour, all written by members, and supporters, and
produced by the committee.

We run social activities and events
– providing an opportunity for members to mix with people of their own
age with diabetes. Activities in the past have included bike riding,
roller blading, movies, BBQs, and bowling.

We
present/speak – we’re often asked to present on a variety of topics at
health education forums, diabetes symposiums, conferences, and group
discussions.
